Un soir en sortant de l\u2019usine, il d\u00e9couvre Harumi, sa fille, venue l&#8217;attendre sans pr\u00e9venir, plus de dix ans apr\u00e8s leur derni\u00e8re entrevue. Devenue architecte elle est venue travaillez sur l\u2019\u00eele voisine \u00e0 la construction d\u2019un mus\u00e9e. Elle aimerait rencontrer son p\u00e8re, qu\u2019elle n\u2019a finalement jamais vraiment connu. Ces rendez vous font ressurgir les souvenirs\u00a0: Masao se rappelle son histoire d\u2019amour avec Kazue, la m\u00e8re d\u2019Harumi, \u00e0 la fois magnifique et dramatique, ou ses ann\u00e9es comme gardien de phare. Ces retrouvailles sont sans ranc\u0153ur ni col\u00e8re, juste l\u2019envie pour ce p\u00e8re et sa fille de commencer leur histoire \u00e0 partir de l\u00e0. C\u2019est un roman lumineux, doux, emprunt de pudeur.
